Bacardi x Zep 21

Bacardi was a surprise to us... literally! We'd sent our girl up for breeding to Silver Rose Sentinel twice with no success, sigh. But then, Lin offered a weanling female to make things simpler all around! What a gift!!! She's a lovely true black girl with soft, crimpy, dense fleece. So we took her to the gold Country Gathering where earned a 2nd in walking fleece and a 3rd in halter. Not bad for a gift! We planned to show her again in the spring, but life had other plans. Soon after the GCG show, we had the opportunity to purchase a share of the amazing herdsire RR Gun's Kit Carson. We just couldn't resist the opportunity to breed Bacardi to Kit. Yes it would have been nice to show her again. But who can resist new cria:) Her first cria, by Kit Carson is a gorgeous modern dark rose gray girl with a roan character that is shifting the color toward dark silver as she matures. Juhlia did very well in her fist show earning a 1st in walking fleece and a 2nd in halter. We've rebred Bacardi to Kit for a 2019 cria. We can't wait to see what they produce!
