Ranch Tours

Unwind, meet the Alpacas, have an unforgettable experience!

With your private tour at Menagerie Hill Ranch, you'll enjoy the serenity of our rural alpaca lifestyle, experience the magic of being with Alpacas, and leave with a joy that is yours to keep!               Adults: $25 each. Youth 1-11: $15 each.

Our Private Tours last for one to one & a half hour and can be extended an additional half hour for you to enjoy your picnic here ($25 per group fee applies, includes use of picnic table).

An appointment is required. Click "Book a Tour" button below.

  • Certain times of year can be busy, so we recommend booking weekend dates 3-4 weeks in advance.
  • Please DO NOT just show up at the gate, we may not be available and we don't want you to be disappointed.
  • No pets please! If you bring your pet, you will have to leave them in the car. This is for the safety of the alpacas as well as your pet.

IMPORTANT INFO

  • We are OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY - TOURS ARE PRIVATE.
  • Tours are limited to small groups of 8 or less unless prior arrangement is made.
  • Tours are recommended for children 3 years and up. Tours are educational in nature and younger children may not have the patience for the tour.

What to expect

  • Learn about Alpacas.
  • Take pictures and get up close and personal with the Alpacas.
  • Feed the Alpacas and Llamas.
  • Shop our ranch store for alpaca fiber products, and novelties.
  • Bring a picnic lunch, if you plan an extended stay (payment in advance required).

Getting here

  • FREEWAY TRAFFIC IS OFTEN HEAVY, ESPECIALLY ON THE WEEKEND. Please respect our time and that of other tour groups that follow your appointment. Plan to leave early enough to allow for heavy traffic.
  • TOURS START AT THE BARN. As you come down Norman Ct, look for a green and white barn on the left - it's before our driveway.
Don't drive up to the house - you will just have to turn around and go back to the barn.
  • If you find yourself running late (or early!), please call so we can do our best to accommodate you. If you are late, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment in order to respect the next group or other farm responsibilities.

What to be prepared for

  • This is a working ranch and visitors are expected to understand that there may be hazards not normally encountered.
  • Visitors must wear CLOSED TOE SHOES (no high heels) and other clothing appropriate for the weather and outdoor activity.
  • Young children must be kept under close supervision. See rules below. Visitors unable to comply with this may be turned away.
  • While visitors will get up close and personal with the alpacas, we are not a petting zoo. Therefore guests are not permitted to get into the alpaca enclosures without the consent of the ranch owner and appropriate supervision.

Rules

  • It's important, for your best experience, to behave in a calm/quite manner - use "inside voices".
  • No running/jumping.
  • No rock throwing.
  • Stay with the group.
